LULA, The son of Brazil (film from 2009)

The film by Brazilian filmmaker Fábio Barreto tells the trajectory of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva from his childhood in the interior of Pernambuco to the times of union militancy in São Paulo in the 1980s and his imprisonment during the military dictatorship, at the age of 35 years.

At the time, the film about Lula's life filled cinemas, received awards and showed that Lula is the greatest example of meritocracy in Brazil, he was the son of a northeastern man who survived a pau de arara to become president of the republic of a country that he insists on taking the opportunity away from poor young people.
